海盜隊姜正浩6局上轟出滿貫彈（本季第15轟），一棒定江山，終場海盜5比4勝紅人，不過紅人隊看板球星 Joey Votto對主審的好壞球判決感到火大，被主審驅逐出場，也是此戰的焦點。
海盜對紅人之戰，6局上兩隊1比1平手，姜正浩轟出本季海盜隊的第1支滿貫彈，這一轟帶給海盜隊勝利，海盜目前戰績83勝55敗，雖在國家聯盟中區落後首位的紅雀隊，排名第二，但在外卡榜上穩居第一，打進季後賽，不是問題。
姜正浩28歲，原效力韓國職棒耐克森隊，去年底申請入札，向美國職棒挑戰，海盜隊用500萬又2015美元標到協商權，今年初再以4年1600萬美元的合約簽下姜正浩；當時許多人懷疑姜正浩能否在大聯盟站穩腳步，本季姜正浩的打擊率是2成87，打點56分，有15支全壘打，是海盜隊的主力戰將，他用實力證明了一切。
Joey Votto是紅人隊的看板球星，是2010年國家聯盟的年度MVP，此戰8局下，紅人隊展開逆轉攻勢，Votto質疑主審的好壞球判決，被驅逐出場，Votto更加不滿，摔頭盔、大聲罵主審，總教練 Bryan Price 出場質問主審，也被趕出場。
海盜隊J.A. Happ先發6局被擊出3支安打包括Todd Frazier轟出的陽春砲（本季第31轟），失2分，三振10次、沒保送，拿到勝投（5勝1敗）， Mark Melancon投第9局沒失分，拿到本季大聯盟最多的第44次救援成功。
